And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Dangerous Skies.
B-17, 836th squadron. Aircraft lost on 30-Nov-44 on mission to Merseburg Germany Flak hit on aircraft shortly after bomb release.
Hi CW, Sometimes it sucks to be us!!! Sad sight indeed!! Once the plane goes out of control the "G-forces" will pin everyone inside to where ever they are!! (Like that spinning carnival ride!!) Anyone "with a parachute on" near a window or other exit that got "Flung out" are the lucky ones!! Those inside, may God rest their souls...... 'Have ta' get a bottle of good whiskey and some late night free keyboard bangin' time to tell ya' some stories!! BLUE SKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, BLACK DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, We are waiting to yell 'that" classic Chant when the wheels leave terra firma but we never got that far..... About the time the engines unloaded on that DC-3 when the force changed to momentum, about the time the tail started getting light, the Port engine "Spit A BLADE!!!" and all hell broke loose!! Jerry Spencer, a photographer was at the door filming the take off when it happened and if you google "N157U Fire" and everything related it was on "Cinco de Mayo" weekend at Perris Valley Paracenter in 1985 (or was it '84??) Anyway, If that happened 15 seconds later..... I wouldn't be writing this!!! skybill-out PS Somebody posted a sticker on the throttle column of another DC-3 we had... it said,"CRASHING SUCKS!!!!!!"
