  1. The picture evokes a romantic reaction, but having ridden in the winter, in the snow, my thoughts go to being cold and wet without the capacity to get warm.

    1. My thought as well.
      I've never been so cold as I was pushing cows in a freezing rain in the high country. Don't ever care to do that again.

    2. Brig - there are a lot of pictures of guys doing stuff in an ice storm on a horse, but the artists who depict that have never been there. And you're there until the work is done. Frostbite is a genuine problem.
