The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

ReplyDeleteI don't see any preparation at all, i.e., no saddlebags, bedroll, winter coat, slicker, canteen, lariat, war bag, rifle, or revolver.
The only thing he can do is survey his own property, and then turn around, and head for the corral.
